Environmental Friendly Furniture Certification is a 3rd party certifying organization with the purpose of maintaining the standards for environmentally friendly furniture. The standard is implemented in multiple levels of certification.
They are: 3 GreenLeaf, 4 GreenLeaf and 5 GreenLeaf certifications.
EFFC is responsible for promoting to both consumers and retailers the benefits of purchasing and living with environmentally friendly furniture. The publicity of this effort comes from the EFFC website, advertising in industry magazines, attendance at trade shows and press releases to the public. EFFC works with government agencies to continue to research issues regarding environmentally friendly furniture as new technologies and processes evolve.
EFFC's aim is to educate the public as to the benefits of environmentally friendly furniture and recognize the companys embracing this idea.
